Republicans in Congress tweet more than Democrats

A recent AP survey of members in Congress found a surprising number of them (or their staff) use social media.

A whopping 81 percent use Twitter and 83 percent use Facebook.

When it comes to tweeting, at least, Republicans have the clear edge: At least 86 percent use Twitter, while only 75 percent of Democrats in the House and 80 percent in the Senate do.

Considering how important the Internet was in getting Obama elected in 2008, looks like the GOP is working hard to capture all those millennial votes this time around.
