U.K.'s Intandem Pacts With L.A.'s Mary Alice Productions

CANNES -- U.K. finance and sales banner Intandem Films has pacted with Mary Alice Productions, a Los Angeles based film production company, for a production, financing and international sales on a slate of films in the $20-$40 million budget range.

Mary Alice and Intandem will work together in closing the financing for the films, with Mary Alice sourcing the equity and Intandem closing pre-sales and gap finance.

Mary Alice, which owns the rights in 14 completed screenplays, plans to produce at least ten major films over the next five years.

Intandem will take an executive producer role and sales duties on each of the films.

The first two films set to be the first out the pact are Section 8 and X-Treme Mission.

Produced by Penny Marshall and directed by Scott Marshall (Princess Diaries), Section 8 producers said Josh Duhamel (Transformers) and Tyrese Gibson (Transformers, Fast Five) are in talks to play the lead roles in the $27 million budgeted movie.

Other films in the agreement include Love By a Knockout, a $30 million comedy from Mark Lypsky.

All the titles have been written by Gerald Henderson, the founder and owner of Mary Alice.
